Fall Bird Walk
November 6 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Franklin Park is an urban hotspot for migratory birds – 218 bird species have been documented in our park! If you haven’t been “birding” before, join in, all are welcome. Bring binoculars, if you have them. Loaner binoculars will be available from the Boston Nature Center. Wear sneakers and dress for the weather. Heavy rain cancels.
We’ll explore Scarboro Pond and Hill looking for hawks, waterfowl, woodpeckers, and more. Expect to walk 1-2 miles on paved paths.
Led by Justine Hanson, Brookline Bird Club, and Michael Bryant, aka Nature Man Mike, a local photographer and instructor. Sponsored by FPC, Franklin Park Tennis Association, Brookline Bird Club, and Emerald Necklace Bird Club.
Meet by the tennis courts at the Shattuck Picnic Grove
MBTA directions: Orange Line to Forest Hills or #16 bus
