Olmsted Now Public Dialogue #3

March 16, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Each third Wednesday of the month, Olmsted Now invites the community to a public dialogue on shared use, shared health and shared power in parks and public spaces. These hour-long discussions are a platform to explore our bicentennial themes through the perspective of a guiding community voice.

Public Dialogue #3 on Wednesday March 16 6-7pm focuses on the question: How can greenspaces nourish us AND combat food injustice?

The goal of this meeting is to introduce to broader audiences the key people and ideas leading food justice efforts in Greater Boston. Hear from leaders expanding our access to “edible landscapes” including Pat Spence of Urban Farming Institute, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, and more!

Each Olmsted Now Public Dialogue takes a different form of facilitation and is recorded as a shared learning resource. This will be a “Quaker meeting” gathering where participants are welcome to share insights one at a time so we can gather as many perspectives as possible. The last part of the meeting will be for live open dialogue, responses, and networking.
