Olmsted Now Public Dialogue #7

July 20, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Each third Wednesday of the month, Olmsted Now invites the community to a public dialogue on shared use, shared health and shared power in parks and public spaces. These hour-long discussions are a platform to explore our bicentennial themes through the perspective of a guiding community voice.

Join us on Wednesday, July 20 at 6pm for a discussion around the Healthy Parks, Healthy People movement. Diana Allen, Chief, Healthy Parks, Healthy People, NPS Office of Public Health, will speak to the agency’s state goal, “Parks Contribute to a Healthy, Just, and Sustainable World,” and the strategic plan and action items to achieve this goal. Allen will introduce key research, lessons learned and engagement tools to support our local efforts. We will also be joined by Jennifer Misiaszek, Ella Froggatt and Maureen McQuillen from Boston Parks and Recreation Department, who will speak on how the City shares similar goals and how they are putting them into action with their Summer Health and Fitness series.
